The Ohio State Fiddling Contest

Join us for one of the premier fiddling events in Ohio! Whether you're a fiddler, or someone who enjoys fiddling, this contest offers something for you. Held in historic Stuart's Opera House, this event will put a smile on your face, and have you tapping your toes in no time!

Our contest is nationally certified with the National Oldtime Fiddlers' Contest held annually in Weiser, Idaho. This means our Grand Champion will be eligible to compete in this prestigious event. For more info, visit their site at www.fiddlecontest.com.

Old-Time Fiddlers Compete in 3 Age Groups

• 12 and under
• 13-18
• 19-54
• 55 and Over

Prizes

Ages 13-18, 19-54, 55+

• 1st Place - $300 and a plaque
• 2nd Place - $200 and a medal
• 3rd Place - $100 and a medal

12 and under (remember, the 12 and under 1st place winner will compete for the Grand Championship! )

• 1st Place - $75 and a ribbon
• 2nd Place - $50 and a ribbon
• 3rd Place - $25 and a ribbon

Grand Champion

The winners of each division will then continue on to the championship round, and compete for the title of "Grand Champion," as well as and additional $300 and a plaque. 

To register online click the 'Register' button above - if you register online, you can always change your tune selections later, including the day of the contest. Due to the great response we've had the past two years, pre-registration is required for 2010! We have 12 spots available in each age group. Depending on the total number of registrants, we may allow 'day of' entries if there is room, but don't take the chance, register today(numbers registered as of 3-28-2010)!

• 12 and under - 14 registered(last three at the same time, so this category is +2) - Category Full!
• 13-18 - 12 registered - Category Full!
• 19-54 -5 registered
• 55+ - 5 registered

* Rules note - the number of tunes in the opening round will be two(hoedown and a waltz). The championship round will play three tunes(ho edown, waltz, choice).
