As we prepare to celebrate the 75th Annual Parade of the Hills, I want to take a moment to express deep gratitude on behalf of our entire team. This milestone would not be possible without the tireless dedication of our volunteer committee members, both past and present. Your commitment, creativity, and passion have carried this festival through the decades and helped shape it into something truly special for our community.

Over the past year, we’ve shared so many exciting ideas and big dreams for this diamond anniversary. As a small committee, we’ve had to make tough decisions and get creative with our time, resources, and funding, but we’re proud of what we’ve put together and hope it brings joy, nostalgia, and celebration to all who attend.

75th Anniversary Shirts
In celebration of the 75th Anniversary, we hosted a commemorative t-shirt design contest for students at Nelsonville-York and Tri-County Career Center. We’re thrilled to announce that Ashlynn Molihan, from Tri-County is the winner with her heartfelt and creative design!

Ashlynn shared, “For my t-shirt design, I wanted to incorporate the homey, classic feel of Nelsonville, Ohio,” — a vision she brought to life with thoughtful details like the Rocky clock tower, star bricks in the background, and a cozy home.
​
The winning shirt is available in two colors: Military Green and Dark Chocolate Brown.
Presale will be available soon on our website with options for shipping or local pickup. A limited number of shirts will also be for sale at the Taste of Nelsonville Tent during the festival!
Sock Hop- August 13th, 2025
Honoring 1950 with a Sock Hop to Kick Off the 75th Parade of the Hills!

The Parade of the Hills was first founded in 1950—and in honor of that founding year, we're excited to take it back to the era that started it all!
​
Join us on the first day of the festival for a 1950s-themed Sock Hop, happening from 5:00 to 6:30 PM in the First National Fun Park (that’s the parking lot behind the bank!). DJ Jon Flowers will be spinning classic tunes to get your feet moving and the nostalgia flowing.
​
We encourage everyone to dress up in their best 50s-inspired outfits—poodle skirts, leather jackets, saddle shoes, and more—but you don’t have to dress up to join in on the fun!
​
A huge thank you to our committee member Taffie for coming up with this fantastic idea to help us kick off the 75th in style. We can’t wait to see you there!
